Matcha Brownies: Your Guide to Fudgy, Sweet Treats

Considering what matcha is added to these days, matcha brownies aren’t such an outlandish idea.
In fact, they are downright delicious.
Of course, people have become rather creative with how they whip up these treats.
As such, there are many different choices for you to select from.
So, find out the top recipes to use for a unique and delicious dessert.
The Type of Matcha to Use
As you may be aware, there are different grades of matcha.
Thus, you need to know which one to use for your brownies.
For cooking and baking matcha desserts, you should use culinary grade matcha.
This is the more affordable option and has a slightly bitter taste.
However, the other ingredients of the brownie batter help to smooth this out.
There is little use in using the fancier ceremonial grade matcha for baking.
The higher temperature will actually end up destroying some of the healthful benefits of the matcha.

Matcha Ingredient Pairings
Another thing to be aware of are the flavors that work best with matcha.
Now, chocolate is a definite winner.
While matcha works best with white chocolate, green tea infused dark chocolate and milk chocolate is quite delicious as well.
At the end of the day, it is up to you to decide which flavor combination you prefer.
And, in case, you want to venture away from chocolate, you should know that citrus fruits such as lemon are a wonderful addition as well.
They help to brighten up some of the grassy notes in matcha.
